The visit focused on presentations by IPM and TU Wien on current and recently completed research. Assistant Professor Petr Miarka took the opportunity to give an exciting insight into his research on fracture mechanics and material fatigue. The TU Wien team focused on the current UP!crete project and the various activities within this project. In addition, possibilities for future collaboration were of course also discussed and time was also found for a tour of some of the IPM’s laboratory facilities.
In addition to the scientific exchange, the visit also included a tour of the city and the Starobrno brewery. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Assistant Professor Petr Miarka for the organization and planning.
