CCE 2025

The 1st International Conference on Concrete and Circular Economy (CCE2025), held from April 10 to 13, 2025, in Hammamet, Tunisia, gathered researchers and professionals to explore sustainable solutions within the concrete industry. With a central focus on circular economy and sustainability, the event offered a platform for exchanging innovative ideas on reducing the environmental impact of concrete production.

5th UP!crete consortium meeting in St. Pölten

The 5th consortium meeting of the UP!crete project took place on March 31, 2025 in St. Pölten. The ecoplus project management had invited all partners to discuss the current status of the work and plan the next steps. The meeting once again offered the opportunity to present the progress made in the working groups.

“Recycled Concrete meets Art”: Art installation ceremonially opened at the TU Science Center

On December 12, 2024, the grand opening of an art installation made of recycled concrete took place at the TU Wien Science Center under the motto “Recycled Concrete meets Art”.

From November 5th to 7th, we had the opportunity to visit Professor Stanislav Seitl, Assistant Professor Petr Miarka and other colleagues from the Institute of Physics of Materials (IPM) of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno.

Up!crete wins Clusterland Award 2024

We are delighted to announce that the Clusterland Award 2024 has been presented to the Up!Crete project. Our project, which focuses on sustainable concrete upcycling, was able to hold its own against strong competition from twelve projects and won the NÖ Clusterland Award 2024.

4. UP!crete consortium meeting

On November 4, 2024, the fourth consortium meeting of the UP!crete project took place at the Raiffeisen Forum in Vienna. On the 16th floor with an impressive view over the city, the project partners came together to discuss what had happened since the last meeting.

Visit from Prof. Stojan Kravanja and Assistant Prof. Gregor Kravanja

Professors Kravanja visited the TU Science Center, engaging in an exchange of ideas and current work focused on sustainable building materials and circular construction. The visit was highlighted by presentations from Professor Merta and Assistant Professor Kravanja.
