Lecture on past and current projects

In the lecture, Prof. Kočica presented impressive projects that he has accompanied and implemented over the years. Of particular note was the Hostel Celica project, in which a former military prison was converted into a youth hotel. The building was redesigned, whereby existing structures were retained and supplemented by the involvement of several artists.

Another highlight of the lecture was Prof. Jiři Kočica’s artistic work with plants and seeds. He showed examples of how living elements such as seeds and plants can be integrated into sculptures and works of art, creating a harmonious interplay between nature and artificial materials.

Workshop on the production of concrete and geopolymer figures

The workshop with Prof. Kočica offered valuable insights into the use of sustainable materials in creative design options. Two geopolymer and three concrete figures were produced together. Recycled materials such as recycled concrete and bricks were used. Pigments were also used to color the concrete and hemp fibers were used for reinforcement.

Two of the concrete figures produced are also designed as planters and can be used as such in the future. The other figures are designed as decorative elements and are intended to serve as inspiration for future projects.
